We’ve come a long way since Henry Leggo set out across the Bendigo goldfields with his mother’s tomato sauce over 100 years ago.
As Australians have embraced Leggo’s and the company’s grown, we’ve relocated several times. In 1977, we spotted the potential of the northern Victorian town of Echuca on the banks of the mighty Murray River. Today the majority of our products are proudly made in our Echuca factory by a close-knit team of over 100 dedicated and highly-trained staff.
We process over 50,000 tonnes of tomatoes at Echuca each year, with manufacturing capabilities across a number of packaging formats including Glass Jars, Cans, Plastic Tubs and Squeezy Bottles. Our famous Tomato Paste is produced at the Echuca site and is at the heart of our pasta sauce range including Stir Through, Chunky and Pasta Bakes.
Our expertise in sauces can now be seen in your supermarket chiller with a high quality fresh pasta and sauce range. The Leggo’s Fresh range contains no added perservatives for an authentic fresh taste. This range is also made right here in Australia, in Melbourne’s South-East.
